What flute do you play on?
I play on Haynes 5% Gold Tube, Inline G, E Mech, B Footjoint. Haynes Fusion In Headjoint, 14K Lip, Riser and Crown Ring.

Do you teach?
I don't teach privately at the moment (there are only so many hours in a day), but I do do classes from time to time in various parts of the world.
What's you're favourite piece of music?
It depends on what I'm playing this week.
How old were you when you started playing the flute?
I was ten years old and started after seeing James Galway on Blue Peter! He said the flute was an easy instrument to play so I thought it sounded like a good idea. I met Jimmy after a concert a few years ago and told him about his influence and questioned his statement to my ten year old self. He replied, "Ah, but I didn't say it was easy to play well..."
How much practice do you do?
I do as much as I can and as little as I can get away with.
Do you still get nervous for concerts?
Oh yes!
